Today’s Lunch: Sandwiches

Today’s Activities: Picture Retakes

  1. Due to unexpected kitchen maintenance, we will be having full salad bar with sandwiches today. This is for the middle school and high school building only.

  2. With the excessive rain we will be receiving throughout the week, the transportation department will be monitoring country roads. We may go to hard surfaces only for bus purposes. We will communicate this effectively so everyone will have appropriate communication.

  3. It is John Baylor Test Prep time! Cost is $40 and runs from Oct. 8th to Oct. 23rd from 7 am to 7:45 am. If you are interested in participating see Mrs. Ray to sign up or for more information.

  1. HOSA members - $10 for the conference at Metro Community College is due to Mrs. Treat by Wednesday, October 9th.

  2. There will be a brief boys basketball meeting in coach Baehr’s room at 7:50 a.m. on Thursday October 3 for all those intending on playing boys basketball this season. If you are unable to attend you need to let coach Baehr know.

  3. The rep from University of Nebraska at Lincoln will be here on Monday, October 7th at 2:00p.m. Any junior or senior that would like to meet with the rep needs to talk to their teachers at that time to okay it and then see Mrs. Gaughen for a pass.

  4. Middle School: The Tiger Branch is opening Thursday, October 3rd at North Bend Central Middle School. The program is tailored for students in K-8th grade to promote financial responsibility and teach basic financial lessons such as how to endorse a check, how to complete a deposit ticket, and benefits of and create a habit of saving. Turn in your permission slips by Tuesday, September 24th . The first deposit will be accepted in the middle school on October 3rd. As an extra bonus to participate now, Platte Valley Bank will match up to $5.00 that is deposited on October 3rd only. There are prizes for depositors that deposit every week as well as prizes for cumulative balance savings goals. We want you to becomes a savvy saver so turn in the permission slip today!

  5. Seniors-There is a Financial Aid and Scholarship Webinar tonight at 6:00p.m. in the Tiger Den for your parents/guardians. Please encourage your parents to attend to get information and answer any questions they might have about applying to college, financial aid and scholarships. Please let Mrs. Gaughen know if they have any questions and RSVP’s by Wednesday at 2:00.

  6. The seniors will be attending a college visit day at UNL on Wednesday, October 9th. Seniors need to see Mrs. Gaughen for a sign out sheet and have it turned in by the end of the day Monday, October 7th.

10. FBLA members interested in buying a tshirt need to pay $15 to Mrs. Miller by Friday, Oct. 11th.
11. Juniors and Seniors considering a possible career in Diesel Technology OR Precision Ag (ag technology systems) need to see

Mrs. Wright ASAP. Titan Machinery, Platte Valley Equipment, Butler Ag, and NMC are ALL offering PAID training/schooling programs and HS internships. See Mrs. Wright to get your name on the list to receive information regarding these exciting opportunities and program tours!

Pink Out Monday-Pink is the NEW Black--wear Pink and Black Monday night will be the Self-Defense Training (more details to come) Tuesday-Pink Cookies at lunch Wednesday-Wear a hat to school -have to wear sticker given to you by the front office, Mrs. Sterup or Mrs. Schwanebeck or NO STICKER NO HAT and Sticker needs to be where we can see it Elementary-have to wear a sticker given to you buy the front office, Mrs. Mimick, or Mrs Kavan $1.00 to wear hat Thusday-After school at the high school cotton candy will be sold - $1.00 Volleyball game- Suckers will be sold and raffle for tickets for the Breast Cancer Awareness blankets Friday-Footbal Game Face Tattoos Raffling for Blankets Cheerleaders and Dancers giving away pink pom poms Selling cotton candy Suckers will be sold after school each day at the elementary and high school for $1.00 All proceeds going to Dodge County Relay for Life.

Flu Shot Clinic October 2nd 3:30pm-4:30pm at High School parking lot for all North Bend Students and Staff. Parental Consent form (for those under 18 years old) are due the day of the flu shot clinic! You can download the parental consent form from the NBC website or pick up a copy in the Front Office. Please bring the parental consent form and a copy of your insurance card to the Flu Clinic to receive the vaccine.
