Driver Education 2010

Students interested in Driver Education for the summer of 2010  will need to sign up and pay by May 8, 2010.  The instructor will be Dan Watts.  If you have questions regarding the program call the school (652-3268) or his home (652-8345).

Cost :                         $130  ($200 outside School District #595)

Location:                     North Bend Central Media Center

When :                       Classroom June 7 through June 11

Time :                         7:30 a.m to 12:00 noon.

Driving time:               To be scheduled (It will probably be in June.)

Mr. Watts is a Competency Based Instructor.  This means , if the student is a good enough driver, he/she may only have to drive the minimum required 2 hours of driving and then pass the Drive Test.  The purpose of the Drive Test is to evaluate that the driver has the minimum level of skills to drive in most road conditions.  Passing or completion of the program by no means suggests the student is a highly qualified driver.  The more experience your youthful student receives, both before and after this course, will improve their survival chances on the road.  Drivers who do not qualify to be tested out will drive a maximum of 5 hours and then take the Drive Test.  Their enrollment in the class does not guarantee they will pass. Upon successful completion of the course, the student is entitled to a “Department of Motor Vehicles School Permit/POP Written and Driving Test Waiver” form.
