6th Graders Share Facts on Canada

The Sixth graders studied Canada earlier this year and wanted to share some interesting facts on Canada.
1. There are more people in Fremont, NE than in all of the Nunavet Territory. Nunavet is the biggest territory landmass wise.
2. Most of Canada's population is located on the border of Canada and the U.S. by the St. Lawrence River and the Great Lakes.
3. The prairie provinces are Manitoba, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
4. Canada has two official languages which are English and French.
5. Nunavet is the newest territory to Canada, it was made official April 1, 1999.
6. There are 10 provinces and 3 territories.
7. Landmass wise the territories are bigger than the provinces but the provinces are more populated.
8. Ontario is the largest province but Quebec is the most populated.
