NBC FOUNDATION
The North Bend Central Foundation provides support to our students in a variety of ways. In 2007-08, the Foundation's Board of Directors awarded $2,500 in general scholarships to NBC High School Seniors as well as administering several family scholarships from funds it holds in trust for the donors. In addition, the Foundation supported several summer programs for students including a summer math camp for elementary students, materials for a reading summer school, development of character lessons, a classic book club, elementary enrichment activities, and a summer academic camp, and provided tuition assistance to students attending the Central Honors Institute. This support is only possible because of the donations of the Foundation's patrons.
The Foundation can accept cash, stocks or mutual funds (a great way to give a donation that will grow in the future) or other types of assets. Contributions, which are fully tax deductible, can be sent to the NBC Foundation via the Superintendent's Office at North Bend Central High School (P.O. Box 160, North Bend, 68649). The NBC Foundation is affiliated with the Fremont Area Community Foundation. Decisions on the use of the Foundation's funds remains in the hands of the NBC Foundation Board of Trustees.
