The Q and U Wedding
by Shirley Johnson
The annual Mr. Q and Little Miss U wedding event took place with Mrs. Johnson’s Kindergarten class acting as the wedding party.
Guests were greeted at the door and ask to sign the guest book. Programs were handed out and ushers escorted guests to their seats.
The ceremony began with a magical tree lighting. The bridesmaids were escorted down the aisle by the groom’s men. Mr. U was followed by Little Miss U who was escorted by Captain Q. The couple vowed to quaff every quart of Nestle's Quick, quake under quilts, and care for quintuplets. Guests were asked to always remember that q and u are always together in the written form of English and sound like /kw/.
The wedding party and guests enjoyed cupcakes. A dance followed.
Show and tell gifts included quarters, quilts, quails, a quarter
note, Quaker Oat snacks, and quartzite.
