Course Description:
With a rapidly changing world and the necessity for parents/guardians to work outside the home, young teens are often faced with the responsibility of making many life management decisions. This course is designed to help you meet the challenges of your daily lives with confidence and to make healthful, value-based decisions. You will gain skills as they relate to wellness, goal setting, decision-making, grooming and personal appearance, healthy food choices and food preparation, careers, clothing care and basic sewing skills, and housing and interior design.

Grading: Grading is
done on the point system. Points will be earned in the following
ways: daily assignments, in-class assignments and activities,
quizzes, tests, projects, labs, and citizenship. Test will
count as 50% of your overall grade; daily assignments, labs,
projects, etc. will count as 40%, and citizenship will count as
10%.
