Keep Your Cell Phones Silent

by Brenda Petersen
August 15, 2008

Cell phones are a great communication device, but can also be distracting and interfere with the educational purpose.  NBC has established a policy to keep cell phones out of sight and mind during school hours.  Students who bring a cell phone to school need to make sure their phones are turned off or put on vibrate, and not visible during school hours.   Between 8:15 and 3:20, any phone seen or heard will be confiscated and turned into the principal’s office.  An easy way to avoid any problems is to turn your phone off until school is out for the day.
