Scholarships
Every year North Bend Central Students are invited to apply for scholarships provided by local businesses, patrons, and alumni.

Pam Dolezal Memorial Scholarship
Available to graduating seniors who have the following; 85% or higher cumulative GPA, ACT score of 18 or higher, and have extensive participation in school/community activities. No specific major required, but preference given to students planning to study PK-12 education and/or students planning to attend a two-year vocational school/community college within the Nebraska community college system. Selection committee may approve out-of-state college attendance. Applicants for the scholarship must have demonstrated leadership, good citizenship, and quality character. No stated financial need required, but applicants may include financial need data in their application if desired.
Ladehoff Family Memorial Scholarship
Ladehoff Family Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Requirements: The scholarship will be awarded to an NBC High School graduate who meets the following requirements: • GPA equivalent of 3.0 on 4.0 scale or 87% on percentage scale. • ACT score of 23 or equivalent SAT or ACT alternative test score. The Family representative may waive GPA/ACT requirements at her/his discretion. • Commitment to attend the University of Nebraska system (4-year/2-year), state college system, or Nebraska community college system including vocational schools. Family may waive this requirement to allow out-of-state or private school attendance. • Extensive participation in school and community activities. • Personal character traits documented by two (2) recommendation letters. • An essay (approximately 500 words) reflecting on personal qualities and career goals. • The scholarship will be paid in the second semester of the student’s freshman year provided that the student provides documentation of successful completion at least 12 semester hours in the first semester and enrollment for at least 12 semester hours for the second semester. The payment amount will be $750. This scholarship is not renewable. • If there is not a suitable candidate on a given year, the family reserves the right to not award the scholarship.
Gene F. Emanuel Scholarship
Desirable Attributes and Qualifications of Applicants: Available to graduating seniors who have the following; 3.0 on 4.0 scale or 87% or higher cumulative GPA and an ACT score of 24 or higher, and have extensive participation and leadership in school and community activities. No specific major required, but student must be planning to attend a 4-year college, preference given to attendance at a Nebraska 4-year college although family may approve out-of-state college attendance. Applicants for the scholarship must have demonstrated leadership, good citizenship, and quality character. No stated financial need required. Grandchildren of Gene F. Emanuel are not eligible to apply.
FFA Chapter Scholarship
Dear FFA Member,
Please find the application forms for four chapter scholarships. You will apply for all the scholarships by filling out this form. Complete them in their entirety, and return to Mr. Mottl by 3:45 PM, March 1st. The scholarships are:
-The North Bend FFA Chapter Scholarship- $200 – 1 awarded/year (Subject to Change $$ amount and # at next meeting.)
-The North Bend FFA Alumni Scholarship - $500 – up to 3 awarded/year -Michael K. Severson Scholarship (Year to Year Determination) - $100 – 1 awarded/year
-Doc Miller Scholarship (Year to Year Depending on Funding) - $100 – 1 awarded/year

Carol Wilson Memorial Scholarship
The Carol D. Wilson Memorial Scholarship is administered by the NBC Foundation. It is unique among NBC Foundation Scholarships in that it is renewable for up to four years of college study at $1,500 per year for students who meet the scholarship’s initial and renewal requirements.
