Students interested in Driver Education for the summer of 2026 will need to sign up and pay by May 8, 2026. The instructor will be Karma Amison. If you have questions regarding the program call the school at 402-652-3268.
Cost : $360 ($460 Non-NBC Students)

Time : 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The 20 hours of classroom instruction are mandatory. If a student does not complete all
20 hours, they will not be allowed to do the driving portion of driver’s ed.
Driving time: To be scheduled
(Depending on when the student receives his/her Learner’s Permit. All driving must be completed by August 15)

The DMV is online again. After your teen’s initial trip to the DMV for their Learner’s Permit (for either the School Permit or POP Permit), upon successful completion of the Driver’s Education Class, you/they will be able to apply for their SCP or POP Permit (when they become eligible) online at www.clickdmv.ne.gov.
Eligibility requirements for students to participate:
Must have a permit (learner’s, school learner’s, school or POP)
Exception – If a student were to turn 14 and “qualified” for a school learner’s permit but wasn’t old enough to attain it, they could drive for an instructor. They would have to be 14 by August 1 of that year to be eligible.
A permit is not necessary to participate in Driver Education Classroom, but is required to drive while in the class.
Student must be 14 by August 1, 2026.
All driving must be completed by August 15.
