🐯 It was a ROAR-ing good time at NBC Elementary today!
Students gathered for an assembly to review our ROAR expectations and learn a little more about Homecoming!
To add to the fun, students from 4th and 5th grades were selected to compete in a Mario-themed challenge, racing to see which team could collect the most “coins!” 🍄⭐
The competition was close, with both 5th grade teams tying for the win! 🏆

NBC was proud to feature some of our newest Tigers at the first home football game of the season! Our kindergarten students took a walk across the track, waving to the crowd, before getting a very important job — holding the rope for the Tiger football team to run through as they took the field!
What a fun way to welcome these little Tigers to NBC and give them their first taste of Friday night under the lights! ✨

The NBC Student Council brought back the school-wide Rock, Paper, Scissors battle, and once again, the competition was fierce!
Students and staff battled throughout the day, collecting necklaces with every win before everyone gathered in the gym for the final rounds. And would you believe it?! Ms. Vavrina's 3rd graders earned a PJ Day as a class reward through our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) ticket system! They have been working hard to earn tickets for making good choices, showing kindness, following expectations, and being responsible. They were so excited to celebrate their hard work by wearing pajamas to school!

Mrs. Nelson’s Culinary Class has been busy running a once a week coffee cart for our High School & Middle School staff! Students get the full small-business experience — planning the menu, taking orders, preparing drinks, making deliveries, and handling payments. 💵🥤
It’s a great hands-on way to combine culinary skills with customer service, organization, teamwork, and a little entrepreneurship!

Congressman Mike Flood stopped by North Bend Central this week for a visit! During his time at NBC, he stopped in Katie Wright’s Senior English class.
Congressman Flood also had the opportunity to meet with freshman Jaelynn Wright and hear about her impressive second-place finish at the National SkillsUSA competition this summer!

Whether they’re considering college, entering the workforce, or still figuring out their next step, it was a great opportunity to ask questions, explore possibilities, and start planning for the future.
