Mrs. Harrell’s 4th grade class turned learning into action by organizing a book drive to support our younger readers. Their goal? Make sure every preschool, kindergarten, and 1st grade student could take home 2 books.
They didn’t just meet that goal—they blew it out of the water!
With an incredible 618 picture books collected, each student went home with 5–6 books to enjoy.
And the generosity didn’t stop there—thanks to donated chapter books, every 4th grader also got to take home books for summer reading! ☀️📖
So proud of these students for making a difference and spreading the joy of reading throughout our community!

The NBC elementary students ran, jumped, bounced, pulled, and threw their way through this week’s annual Field Days! ☀️🏃♂️🎯 From races to relays and everything in between, the students had a blast showing off their energy and teamwork. What do you do for a 6th grade keyboarding final when the computers are already turned in? 🤔⌨️
You head outside with sidewalk chalk and recreate the keyboard from memory! ☀️
Ms. Ray’s students were given only the keyboard layout and challenged to draw and label every key by memory. From letters and numbers to shift and space bar, they rose to the challenge and did an amazing job! Great work, students!

🕵️♂️🔬 Middle and High School Students, join us for **NBC CSI STEAM Camp** June 22–25 from 8 AM–Noon for four days of forensic science, clue analysis, hands-on investigations, and mystery solving. All students entering grades 7–12 can explore fingerprints, DNA, chemical analysis, and more while working together to crack the case!

They journeyed across North Bend, discovering landmarks along the trail and bringing their classroom studies to life along the way. From teamwork to a little pioneer spirit, it was an unforgettable adventure and an awesome hands-on learning experience! 🐎📜

Five 5th grade Tiger Branch tellers attended Stellar Teller Day at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in downtown Omaha alongside other in-school banking tellers from across Nebraska. All were presented with Stellar Teller awards, and Peyton E. received the Stellar Teller of the Year award.

Mr. Baldwin's 5th and 6th Grade bands had an incredible day of learning and performing at the Pender Honor Band event earlier this week! 🎶 It was a great opportunity for our students to grow as musicians and collaborate with others. Great job, musicians!
Mrs. Miller’s Geometry classes put their skills to work on a real-life challenge! 📐
Students took a walk to the North Bend City Pool to measure the empty pool, then brought their data back to the classroom to calculate how much water it takes to fill it. 💧
Their estimates ranged from 151,200 to 160,417 gallons… and the city’s official volume? About 160,000 gallons! 🤯
